FJ6/HYD10 Series Earthing Type Insulation Piercing Connector(10kV)
Typical applications include:
- Protective earthing of 10 kV overhead insulated conductors.
- Earthing and equipotential bonding in medium-voltage distribution networks.
- Earthing for pole-mounted transformers and distribution pillars.
- Earthing of outdoor MV feeder systems and industrial distribution lines.
Product Features
- No-strip installation using turque nuts for controlled piercing pressure and reliable earthing connection.
- Low contact resistance and low temperature rise, ensuring stable electrical performance under 10 kV operating conditions.
- Fully sealed, high-insulation design filled with insulating grease to improve dielectric strength and outdoor reliability.
- Wide applicability for copper, aluminum, and steel-aluminum conductors used in 10 kV overhead distribution systems.
Detailed introduction
Application
The FJ6/HYD10 series earthing type insulation piercing connectors are used for establishing protective earthing and equipotential bonding in 10 kV overhead insulated distribution systems.
They provide a reliable earthing path by connecting insulated conductors to the earthing network, ensuring the safety and continuity of medium-voltage distribution circuits.

Installation and Operation
- Remove the required length of the outer sheath at the earthing position without damaging the insulation layer.
- Prepare the earthing conductor to the required length and strip the insulation at the connection end.
- Insert the earthing conductor fully into the earthing port to ensure proper engagement with the internal sealing element.
- Position the earthing connector on the exposed section of the main conductor and hand-tighten the torque nut(s).
- Tighten the torque nut(s) with a socket wrench until the preset torque nuts break off, indicating that correct installation torque has been achieved.
