Application
The FJ6/HYJ series insulation piercing connectors are used for the connection, branching, and earthing of overhead insulated conductors.
They are suitable for 10 kV lines and 1 kV systems (the product in this link is designed for 1 kV applications).
Typical applications include

Installation and Operation
- Install and secure the insulated main feeder conductor using standard methods.
- Remove the required length of the outer sheath at the branching position without damaging the conductor insulation.
- Prepare the branch conductor to the required length and strip the insulation at the connection end.
- Insert the branch conductor fully into the connector branch port to ensure proper engagement with the internal sealing element.
- Position the connector on the exposed section of the main conductor and hand-tighten the torque nut(s).
- Tighten the torque nut(s) with a socket wrench until the preset torque nut(s) break off, indicating that correct installation torque has been achieved.
